Location
- Sri Lanka is a beautiful island in the Indian ocean.
- The geography of Sri Lanka is very special landmark in the world.
- As you can be in Central highlands in one day, on top of a mountain overlooking tea plantations and ancient, historical sites with giant Buddha statues.
- Specially golden sandy beach in all around Sri Lanka.
- Then be on the beach swimming in the warm water.
- All global volunteers are welcome to get the experiences in a tropical country.
About the Center
- The mission is increasing the sea turtles population globally.
- We work closely with the Sri Lanka Wild life Department.
- The turtle center is located closer to the traditional fishery harbour in the Galbokka village .
- Also there is a big coral reef , there are lot of sea turtles live among the reef and nest on the beach. Therefore we started the turtle center.
- Also there are lot of fishing boats and some turtles entangle with nets and they become some injuries.
- There are 5 species of sea turtles come to this area for nesting and they lay out the eggs.
- Hatching the eggs and released more than thousand of baby turtles to ocean. Also we provide food and rehabilitation facilities to the disable sea turtles.
Become a Volunteer
In our turtle center, you can work as the volunteers. You will work closely with staff members.You can successful your conservation efforts with sea turtles. Find the food for the turtles.
- Feeding the turtles.
- Cleaning the water tanks.
- Maintain the sea turtle hatchery.
- Cleaning the premise.
- Rereleasing the baby turtles to ocean (depends on the hatching season).
- Clean the beach area.
- Night patrol to find the turtle (depends on the sea turtle nesting season).
- Painting on the turtle tanks walls.
- Participation for continue the researches.
- Get lot of educational experiences.
Per Person cost is 450$ for the first week.
The second week will cost +250 $.

That included with only these facilities:
- Accommodation facilities
- All the meals
- Transportation for turtle center to accommodation
- Only Airport pickup to turtle centre.
Accommodation
We provide accommodation closer to the turtle center in volunteer house with bunk beds, single beds & double beds and separate bath rooms /attach bath rooms. (without aircondition)
Food
Provide local food for Breakfast , Lunch & Dinner with Tea & Coffee. Also can participate for cooking lessions.
Recreation facilities (Tours & Activities)
End of the working during the day time or weekend all the volunteers are free. Then volunteers can travel individually or we organize some extra tours, excursions and activities as per volunteers requests. ( Additionally charge for Transport & Tours.)
